Overview: Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is seeking Game Masters with experience in running Dungeons & Dragons campaigns (5E is preferred) and/or other tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) systems for teens.
Project Description:As a Game Master Volunteer, you will assist teens aged 12-18 and staff with running a Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
Responsibilities: Game Masters will assist players with learning game mechanics, as well as occasionally assisting with character creation, depending on attendance levels.
Game Masters will prepare materials for the session and run a one-shot table depending on the volunteer's preference.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Dungeon Master, Card Role Playing Game, and/or playing other tabletop role-playing games.
Patient and relatable manner.
Must be able to communicate clearly with Library staff and customers.
Previous experience or an interest in working with teens is required.
Training: No training will be provided, so you must have previous experience tutoring/teaching
Days and Hours: Tuesday Evenings 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday Afternoons 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
