We currently do not have any available volunteer shelving opportunities at the Steele Creek Library, but by applying to this, you are signing up for a mailing list that is utilized to let you know when we do have open opportunities!
Before you apply, please note the qualifications:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Basic understanding of the Dewey Decimal System.
Must possess excellent alpha-numeric skills and attention to detail.
Ability to understand and follow directions. Accuracy, patience, and a tolerance for meticulous work.
Good vision
Ability to get along well with others and communicate effectively with customers and library staff.
Physical ability to occasionally exert 20 pounds of force and frequently exert 10 pounds of force. Lifting, pushing, and pulling loaded carts, as well as stooping and standing for long periods of time are required.
Commitment of at least two hours per week.
