Description: As an Adopt an Aisle Volunteer, you will be responsible for maintaining shelving accuracy and neatness in the assigned aisle of children's books.
Responsibilities: Check books for correct shelf placement according to the Dewey Decimal System. Cull any books that are shelved incorrectly. Keep shelves clean by removing and discarding.
Qualifications: Basic understanding of the Dewey Decimal System and excellent alpha-numeric skills. Ability to understand and follow directions. Accuracy, patience, and skill at meticulous work. Good vision. Ability to get along well with others and communicate pleasantly and effectively with customers and library staff. Neat appearance.
